[Bull & Claw is still open, but has been relocated to a great new venue. Menu and quality are consistent with my experience below. New address: 110 Fenyang Lu, near Fuxing Zhong Lu 汾阳路110号, 近复兴中路]
I purchased a deal through Bon App for lunch set at 69 RMB. Great value for money.
The decor is very well thought through and tasteful, although this retro American diner style is very easy to miss I must admit that they did a very good job at keeping it contemporary, casual but at the same time sophisticated enough for lobster.
I chose to have a Wagyu burger, cause yeah that was the fattiest option on the menu, and I wasn’t disappointed. The big freshly baked crispy bread bun was delicious. Maybe slightly over toasted and I couldn’t finish all of it (which has never happened before). I loved the home cured bacon, two generous thick slices were blanketing the Wagyu beef patty which was also high quality and well seasoned.
The thick cut fries were also delicious.
The rest of the menu seemed also very interesting with some meat cuts at decent prices.
Service was very attentive and fast – though we were one of just 3-4 tables occupied.
Overall good experience 🙂
